Set up in 2001, the Dot NAME universal domain extension is the only one intended for personal sites only. These domains can include personal or fictitious names, nicknames and/or other designations people are popular by. At first, solely third-level registrations were allowed, so if you desired to register john.doe.name, you had to do that under .doe.name. In 2004, however, the registration process was liberalized and 2nd-level registrations were also allowed. Already purchased 3rd-level domains remained online.

Through our company, you can purchase your dot NAME domain for a time interval between 1 and 10 years. You will have the chance to update the WHOIS contact details, to park your domain, to modify Custom DNS records, etc. You can also move over an active domain to our firm if you receive its EPP transfer authorization code from the present domain registrar and we will renew it once the transfer has been finalized. There are no specific restrictions on who can purchase a .NAME domain, but in order to preserve the goal behind its creation alive, the dot NAME Registry may verify who the owner is and if there is no connection between the owner and the actual domain, the registration could be challenged.
